Dr. Raina attended McMaster University and obtained degrees in Life Science and Medical Anthropology. Inspired to learn a form of medicine that uses a holistic framework while still maintaining a scientific approach, he pursued a degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Currently licensed by the Board of Directors for Drugless Therapy to practice as a Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario, Dr. Raina is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Additionally, he holds certifications in parenteral therapy and first line therapy.
Dr.Raina has previously worked in community health care facilities in Manaus, Brazil and has worked alongside traditional healers in Q`eqchi, Gutemala. And after working as a medic in the Canadian Forces for the past ten years, he understands and appreciates the balance between evidence based medicine and patient based medicine.
Having an eclectic background in science, education, hands-on experience and practical application, Dr. Raina has gained a deep understanding of health and wellbeing. Knowledge and experience allows him to treat every individual with respect while developing treatment plans that alleviate a wide range of health concerns and improve overall health.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Raina is a professor at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and a medic for the Canadian Forces. He extends his gratitude for visiting this website and for taking time to read about naturopathic medicine.
“Meeting where you are in your path to wellness” says Dr. Diane. Dr. Diane completed her pre-medical studies at McMaster University, where she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science. She then further pursued her medical studies in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Soon after completion of her studies, Dr. Peters practiced in Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area for several years. During that time frame she was nominated and won Best Naturopath in 2010 and 2011 for Ajax/Pickering Readers’ Choice award.
Dr. Diane’s primary goal is to help her patients achieve optimal health on all levels: physical, mental and spiritual by providing the necessary tools which includes, but not limited to, nutritional & lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine and acupuncture. Dr. Diane has successfully treated a variety of health conditions, which includes anxiety/depression, digestive issues, women’s health issues and weight management.
Dr. Diane is a registered member of the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy, and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).
